Doing Well
Feb 12th
Dad is doing well this morning, he is alert and talking and says he is doing well.
Resting
Feb 11th
Well I just left the hospital and he was resting. He seems to have gotten the hang of the pain med button. He was also smiling and seemed to be in good sprites , or that could just be the morphine. Thanks to everyone for the kind words and prayers.
He’s back in the room
Feb 11th
He has made it back to the room, he is really drugged up. The docotor that found the cancer come in and talked with us and he seems optimistic about everything. We just have to wait for the path. results on Monday.
Out of Surgery
Feb 11th
We just got word he is out of surgery, his heart was fine. Tumor was larger then what they thought. we are just waiting for him to get out of recovery.
In surgery
Feb 11th
well they took my dad back to surgery at 8:56am, here in the waiting room they have a screen that shows the progress. So now we are just waiting and praying.
Heart is good, Surgery is a go

Well we just heard that his heart is good, so they have set the surgery for tomorrow.
Well a small bit of good news
Feb 10th
We just heard a small bit of good news, they beleive that the cancer is just in the colon and has not moved to the liver. they can’t be 100% until tomorrow but they are pretty sure. So a bit of good news in all this bad. Still waiting on the results of the stress test before we find out for sure if they will do the colon surgery tomorrow.
Update on Dad
Feb 10th
Well they are running all kinds of test on his heart this morning. We are hoping that everything will come back ok so that they can operate on him tomorrow. They have said that is all goes well that they will do the colon surgery in the morning about 8 am.
Surgery Postpond for a day
Feb 10th
Looks like the surgery has been postpond for a day, the doctors want to make sure that his heart is ok to make it thru the surgery. Seems like it just keeps coming. We are hopful the heart doctor will clear him and then they can go in and remove the cancer and he will be ok.
